What this tool processes
When you search for a tournament, the tournament name or code and any location you enter are sent to USTA through this tool so matching public tournaments can be displayed. If you allow browser location access, the browser supplies latitude and longitude coordinates. The tool sends them through its server to BigDataCloud to obtain the city and state shown in the editable Location field, then sends them to USTA only when you search. The tool does not store your location in a permanent database or send it to Google Analytics. When you select or submit a USTA tournament, the tool reads the public registration information needed to show the selected event. This can include player names, city and state, USTA identifiers, event divisions, standings, and World Tennis Numbers. UTR matching is disabled by default. While it is disabled, the tool does not send player information to the UTR API; player links instead open UTR's public search page in your browser. If the integration is explicitly enabled, player names, city, state, and event gender are used to find and display matching UTR profile information.
Temporary storage
Tournament and player lookup results may be kept in the app server's temporary memory for up to 30 minutes to reduce repeated requests. Your browser may also keep the current tournament search, including its location, in session storage so it can restore the results in the same tab; closing the browser session clears it. The names, dates, locations, and public IDs of the three most recently opened tournaments, plus the name and public ID of the latest event selected in each tournament, are kept in local storage on your device until you use the Recent tournaments Clear action or remove the site's browser data. The app does not maintain a permanent player or location database. Backend HTTP errors may be recorded in host logs with the request method, app path, status code, duration, and relevant public tournament and event identifiers, but without complete queries, request bodies, cookies, or raw provider responses; the AWS CloudWatch log group has seven-day retention. AWS security systems may temporarily process IP addresses and basic request information to detect and limit abusive traffic.
Analytics
The site uses Google Analytics to understand general usage and may send non-personal campaign labels from tagged links. It does not send search text, tournament links or identifiers, player names, or ratings. Google may process device, browser, approximate-location, session, and cookie information. See Google's Privacy Policy; you can block or delete analytics cookies in your browser.
Feedback
The feedback form requires only a message. You may optionally provide an email address, phone number, username, or another contact method if you would like a reply. The form sends your message, optional contact, current app URL, and selected event label through Amazon Web Services SNS to the operator's email inbox. The app does not keep a separate feedback database, but a message may remain in that inbox until it is deleted. Do not include passwords, sensitive information, or personal information about a child in feedback.
Service providers and disclosure
The tool uses Amazon Web Services for hosting, temporary processing, logs, and feedback delivery; BigDataCloud to convert allowed browser coordinates into a city and state; Google for analytics; USTA as a source of tennis information; and, only when the integration is enabled or you follow an outbound search link, UTR Sports. Information is not sold. It may also be disclosed when required by law or necessary to protect the service and its users.
Your choices and requests
You can deny or revoke location access in your browser and enter a city or ZIP code instead. You can also use browser controls to limit analytics cookies and can choose not to send feedback. To report an incorrect player match or request a privacy-related correction or deletion, use the Feedback link in the site footer and describe the affected tournament and player.
